Alumni Admission Representatives Committee:
The role of the Alumni Admissions Representatives Committee is to:
- engage alumni in supporting the work of the Admissions Office to enroll the best possible class for the College;
- work primarily under the auspices of the Admissions Office but also to find the appropriate means for communicating with and coordinating with the Executive Board of the Alumni Association;
- promote the work of the AARs; and
- assist the Admissions Office in recruiting alumni to work as AARs in areas of primary interest to the recruiting plan of the Admissions Office.

Career Services Committee:
The role of the Career Services Committee is to:
- work with the Office of Career Services to increase the number of externships and internships provided by alumni to undergraduates;
- engage more alumni in providing career guidance for undergraduates and job opportunities for graduating seniors;
- promote among alumni the importance of networking in support of the Career Services program;
- assure that alumni who participate receive acknowledgement and feedback;
- develop a proposed budget for the Committee and then live within that budget, modifying program as may be necessary if the proposed budget cannot be fully funded; and
- assist Career Services in developing the means to measure results.

Reunion Committee:
The Role of the Reunion Committee is to:
- develop a Reunion program that will appeal to a wide range of alumni interests--a program that will provide an enjoyable experience to those would attend;
- include program elements that will provide attendees with a greater understanding of and appreciation for the qualities of Lafayette College;
- explore a variety of ways to attract alumni and increase attendance;
- develop methods to test market ideas and obtain follow-up evaluations from a sample of attendees and non-attendees;
- encourage faculty involvement; and
- set quantifiable, measurable goals and report results annually to the Alumni Association Executive Board.

Young Alumni Committee:
The role of the Young Alumni Committee is to:
- develop ideas and strategies that will introduce new graduates and young alumni to the alumni Association with particular emphasis on the benefits to young alumni who participate in alumni programs and activities;
- implement ideas that will pro-actively reach out to new graduates and young alumni in interesting and innovative ways to engage them in alumni activities;
- survey young alumni to determine what programs and activities will appeal to their interests;
- provide a voice for young alumni on the Executive Board of the Alumni Association;
- develop a proposed budget for the Committee and then live within that budget, modifying program as may be necessary if the proposed budget cannot be fully funded;
- develop ideas to evaluate the Committee’s programs and activities; and
- set quantifiable, measurable goals for the Committee’s programs and report annually to the alumni Association Executive Board.

Chapters Committee:
The role of the Chapters Committee is to:
- provide programming and operational support to existing regional chapters;
- determine criteria for establishing new chapters;
- recommend an annual theme that each Chapter will employ for at least one meeting a year;
- set quantifiable, measurable goals for the committee's programs and report annually to Alumni Association Executive Board;
- develop position descriptions and terms of office for Chapter Officers;
- monitor Chapter programs, activities, attendance, etc.;
- develop survey mechanism to get feedback from alumni and parents on the breadth, scope, variety and appeal of Chapter programming; and
- determine criteria for Chapter awards and select winners annually.

Undergraduate Relations Committee:
The role of the Undergraduate Relations Committee is to:
- develop ideas and strategies that will help undergraduates understand and appreciate the value of alumni in the life of the College;
- develop ideas and strategies to involve student leaders in meaningful ways with the Alumni Association;
- develop ideas and strategies to bridge the transition from student to alumnus(a) in a seamless way;
- develop a proposed budget for the Committee and then live within that budget, modifying program as may be necessary if the proposed budget cannot be fully funded;
- develop ideas to evaluate the Committee’s programs and activities; and
- set quantifiable, measurable goals for the Committee’s programs and report annually to the Alumni Association Executive Board.

The role of the Homecoming Committee is to:
- develop a Homecoming program that will appeal to a wide range of alumni interests -- a program that will provide an enjoyable experience to those would attend;
- include program elements that will provide attendees with a greater understanding of and appreciation for the qualities of Lafayette College;
- explore a variety of ways to attract alumni and increase attendance;
- develop methods to test market ideas and obtain follow-up evaluations from a sample of attendees and non-attendees;
- encourage faculty and student involvement in Homecoming; and
- set quantifiable, measurable goals for attendance, variety of programs, etc. and report annually to the Alumni Association Executive Board.

Volunteer Committee:
The role of the Volunteer Committee is to:
- develop a program for the volunteer recognition event that is interesting, informative, and attractive for volunteers;
- determine which volunteers are invited to attend (in conjunction with the Alumni Office);
- develop creative ideas to maximize attendance;
- establish quantifiable and measurable goals and report annually to the Alumni Association Executive Board;
- develop methods to test-market ideas and obtain follow-up evaluations from a sample of attendees and non-attendees;
- examine and make recommendations regarding the volunteer recognition event, with particular emphasis on program format, awards and volunteer recognition, volunteer training, etc.;
- examine the current training protocols for alumni volunteers, particularly in the areas of chapter leadership, alumni admissions representatives, class fund managers, class correspondents, reunion chairpersons, and class presidents;
- make recommendations on how to improve training efforts to maximize volunteer productivity, with particular emphasis on incorporating new methods of training through the expanded range of technologies currently available, such as teleconferencing and web-based training;
- examine ways to increase alumni participation as volunteers, and to retain the interest and ongoing commitment of current alumni volunteers;
- review feedback from the email survey sent to attendees at the volunteer recognition event;
- send a questionnaire(s) to all volunteers requesting feedback on various aspects of their volunteer experience, seeking specific information on desired methods of training and level of satisfaction with the Volunteer program;
- outline current methods of training for each category of volunteer (e.g., AARs, class correspondents, etc.); and
- make recommendations to the Alumni Association Executive Committee regarding the volunteer recognition event, volunteer recognition, volunteer training, volunteer retention and volunteer recruitment.

International Alumni Committee:
The role of the International Alumni Committee is to:
- build a leadership team and administrative structure to support the College’s increasing interest in international outreach, i.e. to become a premier small college that is academically distinctive, and international in reach and presence;
- help the college identify itself as an institution with a global reach and a lifetime learning thrust;
- promote our position as a highly-ranked liberal arts college to prospective students;
- help the college achieve its goal of greater student diversification;
- provide international opportunities for networking, career development and connectivity with the campus; and
- engage alumni with international experience in the mentoring of students and younger alumni who have international interests.
