About the Chapter

The Central PA Alumni Chapter consists of alumni, parents and friends of Lafayette College in Central PA with most activities centering in the Harrisburg area. The chapter has a diverse calendar of events featuring speakers from the College, an annual golf outing as well as other family events. Each year, the chapter supports Lafayette students by donating $500 to a worthy student organization. In addition, they present a gift certificate to an incoming student each year at their annual welcoming reception.

Ron Pollock, Jr. '85 hosted this year's Lafayette-Lehigh telecast party at the Brickyard Restaurant & Sports Bar in Lancaster. Thanks to all members of the Lafayette community for joining in the fun and rooting for our Pards!
On Wed., November 18 Lafayette alumni, parents & friends gathered at the Naval Support Activity in Mechanicsburg for the chapter's annual dinner. Joshua Smith, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, served as guest speaker and updated the group on the recent efforts of Lafayette's chapter of Engineers Without Borders. A special thank you to Ed Baumgardner '61 for his efforts in planning the event.
Special thanks to Mark '85 and Ann Pickering for once again opening up their home to welcome the Class of 2013 to the Lafayette family! The chapter gathered on July 31, 2009 in Camp Hill, PA to enjoy an evening of fun, friends, and food. Special thanks to the Pickerings for helping to continue this very special Lafayette tradition.
The Annual Central PA Lafayette Golf Outing was held on May 8, 2009 at Armitage Golf Club in Camp Hill, PA. Fifteen golfers participated. Winners were Tom Kirchoff '93, Brian Perry '91, Mark Pickering '85, and Fred Brown '89 with a score of 63.
A total of $200 was awarded in prizes and after golf, a light meal was served at the course. The chapter enjoyed a 50-50 drawing as well as one for door prizes. A good time was had by all and the chapter looks forward to next year's event.
