About the Chapter

The Westchester/Fairfield Alumni Chapter consists of the those alumni, parents and friends of Lafayette College that live and/or work in Westchester County, NY or Fairfield County, CT. We sponsor 3 to 4 events each year including annual Lafayette/Lehigh Telecast Parties and Summer New Student Welcoming Events. We are actively seeking chapter volunteers. CHAPTER NEWS & EVENTS

Greg Crawford '68 hosted a Lafayette-Lehigh telecast party on November 21 at Bradford's Grill & Tavern in Stamford, CT.

David Berdon '92 also hosted a Lafayette-Lehigh telecast party in Westchester County. Alumni, parents & friends gathered to cheer on the Pards at Sports Page Pub in White Plains.

Michael '82 and Jenny '82 Weisburger welcomed members of the Class of 2013 and their parents at a reception at their home in Bedford, NY on Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Over 70 people attended.

The Westchester/Fairfield Chapter welcomed members of the Class of 2012 at a reception hosted by John '74 and Linda Zembron in Ridgefield, CT.

A second event was hosted on Tuesday, July 29 by Michael '82 and Jenny '82 Weisburger, in Bedford, NY.

Lafayette alumni, parents and friends joined Ellis Finger, Director of the Williams Center for the Arts and his wife Phyllis at The Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox Massachusetts for a performance of the Boston Symphony Orchestra featuring works of Ravel, Bruch and Rimsky-Korsakov.

SUNDAY, MARCH 30, 2008

Chapter members gathered for the Hartford Wolf Pack vs. The Bridgeport Sound Tigers home game at the Bridgeport Arena at Harbor Yard at 4 p.m.

Alumni, parents and friends of the Central CT and Fairfield CT Alumni Chapters were invited to a pre-game party at 2 p.m. and game at 4 p.m.

SUNDAY, JULY 15, 2007
Boston Symphony Orchestra Concert at Tanglewood

The Lafayette Alumni Association hosted alumni, parents and friends at The Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox Massachusetts for a performance of the Boston Symphony Orchestra featuring works of Strauss, Mahler, Delius and Sibelius.

Mark Elder conducted. The concert featured Thomas Hampson, world renowned baritone soloist. The event was hosted by Ellis Finger, Director of the Williams Center for the Arts, and Jamie Hughes '05, Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs. Prior to the concert, a luncheon was served in the Theatre Colonnade near the Koussevitzky Music Shed.

NEW STUDENT WELCOMING EVENT

The Westchester/Fairfield Chapter of the Lafayette Alumni Association hosted a picnic dinner welcoming the Class of 2011. Incoming and current students and their families along with alumni celebrated the newest members of the Lafayette family.
