MARQUIS SOCIETY

Through generous gifts of $1,000 and more, members of this prestigious giving club—the Marquis Society—support a wide range of programs and facilities. Gifts may be unrestricted, benefiting the College's greatest need, or designated according to the donor's preference. You are invited to join the Marquis Society with a gift of $1,000 or more.

Marquis Society membership at $1,000 and above will continue to be recognized in the Summary of Giving and Volunteer Participation, receive quarterly updates from President Dan Weiss, be invited to a special reception in years when their classes celebrate reunions, and receive credit toward Sustaining Membership. The Marquis Founders dinner (formerly known as the Marquis Society dinner), which is held on campus each fall, will be open to members of the Marquis Founders Club and above. (Marquis Society members in the 50+ Club and members who graduated within the past decade will also receive invitations.) Additional recognition events will be held on campus and regionally to acknowledge the invaluable support provided by Marquis Society members.

Five Years of consistent giving is recognized with membership in the Fleck Consistent Giving Society.  Members with 10 or more years of consistent giving will be honored with a named brick on campus.

The James Madison Porter Society was established in 1997 to recognize and thank individuals who have included Lafayette College in their estate plans through a bequest (including a will provision, retirement fund remainder, insurance beneficiary or outside trust remainder) and various life-income agreements established with the College. Today, over 500 Society members consisting of alumni and friends celebrate James Madison Porter, a leader among the citizens of Easton, who helped found the College.
