Formed in 1937, the Maroon Club promotes the welfare of Lafayette through the support of its athletic program. The program has a tradition of being exceptionally strong because of three important ingredients-talented student-athletes, an excellent coaching staff, and the financial support of dedicated alumni, parents, and friends.

Maroon Club membership dues are covered one of two ways:
- All gifts over $100 will have the first $50 cover Maroon Club membership dues and the remainder to the designated sport.
- All gifts $100 or less designated to a sport will have 50% of the gift go to the sport and 50% to cover Maroon Club membership dues.
Last year, 1,522 Maroon Club Members generously supported:
- Financial Aid: To help make the Lafayette Experience possible for our student-athletes, Maroon Club members supported financial aid allocations.
- Athletics Enhancement Fund: To ensure our student-athletes have quality “teachers”, Maroon Club members made a strong commitment to the Athletics Enhancement Fund, which augments various coaching salaries in addition to travel budgets and equipment needs for Lafayette Athletics.
- Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach: To meet the physical demands of our student-athletes, Maroon Club members supported the salary for Lafayette’s new assistant strength and conditioning coach.
- Assistant Athletic Trainer: To address the complexity of today’s sports injuries, Maroon Club members supported the salary for an additional athletic trainer for our student-athletes.
- Athletic Communications Intern: To keep Leopard fans up-to-date on all the athletic happenings, Maroon Club members supported the salary for the Athletic Communications intern.
