Giving Opportunities: Friends of Skillman Library

Parini
The Friends' annual meeting, "brown bag" lunches, and afternoon talks have featured such prominent speakers as Jay Parini, noted author and member of the Lafayette class of 1970.

Friends of Skillman Library is an association of individuals dedicated to increasing and making better known the resources of Lafayette's library. Founded in 1964, the organization has more than 300 members, including alumni, faculty, students, community residents, and others.

Through gifts and membership dues, the Friends makes possible the purchase of rare books, manuscripts, and other material that could not otherwise be acquired; supports the development of new information technologies; and sponsors numerous public lectures, programs, and exhibitions.

  • Biannual newsletter, exhibition posters, and special occasional publications
