| Giving Opportunities: Williams Center
Lafayette is proud of its long history of bringing
great artists to the Lehigh Valley. The Williams Center has created
arenas of partnership between the community and such extraordinary artists
as Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, jazz pianist McCoy Tyler, and Washington
Ballet.
For well over a decade the center has presented its programs without seeking contributions from alumni and friends. College endowment funds, ticket revenues, and arts agency underwriting have been sufficient, until now, to make such programs possible.
As performance fees escalate and public funding for the arts becomes more competitive, however, it is essential that we turn to members of the Lafayette family to seek funds that will secure our future. In the process, we are offering opportunities to all who enroll as "Friends" to deepen their involvement with Williams Center programs, through an array of special programs.
